Introducing Coach Sheevani Desai

Please join us in welcoming Sheevani Desai to the Grafenberg Productions family as coach of the War Tigers!

Sheevani has been performing since she was 4 years old as a dancer, actor or that obnoxious goofball in the corner. Growing up in suburban Detroit, her passion for the creative arts blossomed as she made her way through the awkward years of junior high and high school.

After a confusing time in college where she thought acting wasn’t a practical path (and rightly so), she went back to it and ended up in several local commercials, indie films and as an extra in some Hollywood films filming in Motown.

If you look really close and slow down the film, you can see her hugging a pole and screaming in the first Transformers movie directed by Michael Bay.

Though her hopes were high that Transformers would be her springboard to fame and fortune, Sheevani instead followed the path of improv and sketch comedy, which is where she feels at home.

After studying at Go Comedy Improv Theater in Michigan, Sheevani became a member of the Resident Company as well as write and star in several of the theater’s sketch productions. The historic Planet Ant Theater was another home away from home for Sheevani where she completed the sketch writing program under the direction of Detroit Improv legends.

When she’s not writing shows, or planning her next improv gig, Sheevani is a mother to a couple great kids and wife to one great husband. She recently moved to Parker, CO and is loving all that Colorado has to offer!

We are thrilled to have her, and hope you come out to Deer Pile Wednesday evenings to meet Sheevani and watch the War Tigers in action!
